Drawing a blank

Filed under: Uncategorized — by InterstellarLass @ 4:05 pm

I’m getting the feeling that my blog-life is starting to get a little dull. This training is restrictive, and so I’ve just been running around in circles or for ungodly amounts of time. I’m sure this is starting to bore the heck out of you all. I feel like I’ve gotten in a blogging rut. I still have the final installment of the Colorado Relay story to write, but haven’t. I have the urge to update every day and keep it fresh and new, but I don’t want to post just to post. I’m whining again, I know.

I’ve seen a couple of other bloggers post the opportunity for their readers to ask any question(s) they want. Pretty much nothing is off limits. Of course, I won’t reveal my kids’ names or other like specifics (not that anyone is out there stalking me…I hope), but it’s general safety I think…you can never be too sure. And, I suppose I’m arrogant or egotistical enough to think that any of you find me interesting enough to have unanswered questions about me.

Maybe this will spur something to give me a secondary theme for blog topics other than my constant training, which is starting to wear on me as much as I’m sure it is you. Don’t get me wrong…I’m still enjoying my running, but I have a bit of ADD, so I’m looking forward to when this first major hurdle is done and I can re-broaden my adventure-focus.

So, think up a good ‘un or two and ask away. Holy heck. What did I just do…

  1. Don’t blame you re; kiddies, you never know who is about.

So what would you rather an Iced Bath or Iced Tea? There is a gross advert for Iced Tea on at the mo, never tried it, never likely to going by that advert!

People like to read about your adventures because it’s more than most do.

Ok so what’s been the film you’ve most enjoyed recently between running up hills!

  4. Same thing happenin’ over here, Lass. It’s the blog days of summer, whatcha gonna do. Tell you what, we’ll have a roundtable discussion on possible blog topics in the Blerds Anonymous chatroom tonight 😉

I’ll have to think of a question later.

  5. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ*…huh? Wha…? Oh, the entry is over?? YOU KNOW I’M KIDDING!

I think every blogger gets blog block now and again.

Hmmm, questions. I did this sort of on a “dare” several months ago, afraid no one would show up! It turned out fun.

    So, let’s see:
    1) What made you decide to train for and run a marathon?

    2) If your house was burning down, and your kids and pets were safely outside, what would you grab on your way out?

    3) You’re on death row. What’s your last meal?

    4) What are the names and social security numbers of your children? Uh…scratch that.

  6. What’s your visa card numb….. oh never mind. lol..

Here’s one that I’ve been wondering for awhile. What made you decide to take up running in the first place, and how did it evolve from running for a workout to running to perpare for marathons? Or did you set out with a goal to run marathons at first?

I used to run all the time and so I suppose that’s partly why I like coming by your site. 🙂

I also liked your previous posts about the wine, dinners and the salsa dancing that you did awhile back. just looked like fun to me!

as far as the blog rut, I get into those a lot too. After Katrina, I also felt depressed about the whole situation and about the overwhelming amount of information on the hurricane. For some reason, instead of posting more about the storm, I shut down mentally where the blog was concerned. just couldnt type another thing about it. Sept 11th arriving not too long afterward brought on the same feeling.

In any event, good luck with all these questions! you’re brave 🙂

  7. Wow, are we all in a rut at the same time?

I’ve been struggling with topics myself. It’s not unusual for me to have several posts in varying degrees of work, but as of late I haven’t had any inspiration until the eleventh hour.

How about this… we all have at least one major ‘fork in the road’ in our life, where we were faced witha life-changing decision. How about speculating what might have happened had you chosen the road less traveled in yours?
