Project Progress

Filed under: Uncategorized — by InterstellarLass @ 9:20 am

Nope, different project. I’m project ADD you know. I didn’t get any knitting done, but I did get all the rest of the wallpaper in my bathroom stripped down. I’m taking down horrid 1980 called and it wants it’s wallpaper back wallpaper. Stripping wallpaper is a pain in the butt. Especially behind the toilet. That’s just not a fun job, ya know? Tonight I plan to put on a coat of primer. That’s all I’ll have time for after Elle’s soccer practice. Tomorrow I’ll start painting.

I knew you were just dying to see pictures of my soon-to-be-shawl. I mean, how can I withhold such beauty from you until it’s all done! I will make progress on this later though. What to do for an hour while Elle’s running? Yes, this is my $29.00-a-skein yarn and my $20.00 bamboo knitting needles! I promise it’s not a heart-shaped shawl. The circular needles keep the stitches all bunched up together, so that’s what gives it that shape right now.

  3. Been there, done that trying to strip wallpaper behind the toilet. The only thing worse would probably be trying to put paper up there (we painted).

    Gorgeous work!

  4. I LOVE the colors!! It was worth every penny, trust me!

Stripping that paper behind the toilet is the biggest pain in the butt i’ve ever done. Ok that wasn’t an intentional pun.
You’re moving faster than I am, I haven’t picked out the floor yet. Had to work this afternoon, but maybe tonight I’ll go shopping for tile or vinyl again. Or not.

If you get done before me, you can always come here and help me finish my bathroom! LOL

  10. My wife is working on an afghan as we speak.
(there’s a dog joke there somewhere)
She actually got my oldest to start as well. There’s a crotcheting extravaganza happening in my living room…

  13. Thanks for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such excellent info being shared freely out there.
