Photos: Where We Live

Lovely Miss Laura at Vitamin Sea has proposed a photographic meme tour of sorts. She’s asked what we would like to see from her home town. What fun! And so I will offer you the same! I live in the Dallas area – no need to say Dallas, Texas, right? Everyone knows Dallas! JR Ewing doesn’t live here anymore, but we have lots of landmarks.

What do you want to see pictures of? I’ll take requests through the weekend and then post pictures on Monday. And won’t you share where you live?

  1. I just love the skyline at night. Or a view from the Reunion tower.
Anything you want to see from Iowa?

I haven’t been to Reunion Tower in forever! I’ve run around it though! They have a fantastic (and expensive!) restaurant at the top called Antares. My dad took me there for my 16th birthday. Haven’t eaten there since!

  2. I’ve only been to Dallas once, and I remember passing by a ginormous church, certainly not in downtown, but in Dallas. It was a Baptist church, of course, and I just am still amazed by it enormity. I don’t know the name or any details.
Now I know you are just dying to see something from PA…what would it be??

I wonder if you mean PrestonWorld? It’s the biggest church in Dallas that I can think of. It’s real name is Prestonwood Baptist. They have their own coffeshop inside. There’s also Fellowship Church that now has three campuses around the area. Their pastor preaches in jeans and puka-shell necklaces. At least that’s what I’ve heard. There are some pretty churches downtown and in the Preston Hollow area.

  3. Here’s the thing, I’ve never been to Dallas! All I know of it is what I see on TV, internet, etc.
I know it’s not all JR Ewing, big hair and longhorns, but I have heard it’s a beautiful city. I’d like to see whatever you are the most proudest of, if that makes sense. What feature do you want people to see or know about? I remember when you posted the park photos in Plano, especially since I have a good friend there. Found that very cool to see. I think he jogs in the same park!

  4. I have never been to Dallas either so I’m not sure what I want to see. Probably just shots of the buildings. Maybe the most interesting ones. I know there has to be some interesting architecture. And if you want to know something about Boise let me know.

  6. Bats? Do you have bats? I guess that’s Austin but if you DO have bats, I would like to see them. Do you have any cool birds (not sparrows, please)? How about a big sculpture?

  7. Howdy!

Don’t think I’m a creep, but how about Dealy Plaza? If not…how ’bout a real live football player?? 🙂

  8. The most of Dallas I’ve seen is in the tv series, as many will probably say!

  12. I’ve been through Texas several times but never to Dallas. How about a beautiful southwestern sunset with the city in the foreground? How about the Alamo – I’m pretty sure it isn’t in Dallas but I’d still like to see it.

  14. I have a couple of ex’s in Dallas (I know, how did I manage that???? A nice east coast girl like myself) so I’ll pass on the drive down memory lane. Unless you can get a picture of one of them getting run over by a bus…

That’s a service I could start! So your theme song is “All My Exes Live in Texas?”
