Calling All Cookie Recipes

Filed under: Real Good Food — by InterstellarLass @ 9:41 am

Next weekend I have a cookie exchange party with my girlfriends. This is our third annual exchange, and I’m looking for something new to really WOW my friends. I want your favorite cookie recipes! I have a lot, but none have really thrown me into wild ecstasy over their wonderfulness. You can either leave your recipe in the comments, or you can post and link back. Either way, I’m hoping to get some mouth-watering suggestions from you all!

Also, if you have a favorite or beloved cookie sheet, or one that you recommend to all your friends, let me know. I’m looking for one that doesn’t burn the bottoms of the first batch!

Tonight I’m going to be out and about, preparing for a special TT tomorrow! Be sure to check in!

  1. I’m afraid I’ve never made cookies…I might just pop back and see what other people suggest for you though! 😀

  2. My favorites? The ones you get as pre-formed dough in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. I suck! 🙂 But I’m looking forward to reading the other recipes. Mmmm…. cookies.

You are the 5,000th comment on my site! Whee! Yay! Look at you! Guess what??? Once I gather up some recipes, you pick your favorite, and I’ll bake and send you a batch! LUCKY!

  3. Would they accept meat pies instead of cookies? Check my gentleman’s blog for the recipie I just posted there. If not, I’m afraid my mom’s cookie recipies are a carefully guarded (tell you but then have to kill you) secret.

  7. I did a search for one recently that i have used over and over. My son loves it and it works for the season. I dont know about the wow factor but it cooks up very nicely and it tasty. It’s for iced pumpkin cookie. It’s a soft almost cake like cookie with icing without the mess of being a bar cookie. Here’s the link:

  8. I don’t have a recipe because I’m not a good cookie baker, but if you come across any yummy shortbread cookie recipes pass it on!

  9. Michael at Smoke and Mirrors has the dirty snowball recipe, which sounds wicked. I’m more a pumpkin bread kind of girl. But the best cookie sheet I’ve ever used was an
Ecco Non-stick. Works like a dream.

  10. Seriously, the kick ass cookie of the season is the Candy Cane Joe Joes at Trader Joes… they are so good you want to marry them!

  11. […] House numbers and license plates have been obscured to protect the tacky. Sadly, these are all within my ghetto neighborhood. Don’t forget, I need your cookie recipes! […]

  12. I don’t have the recipes at work, but…

    1) if pralines qualify, we make some mean pecan pralines

    2) if they don’t, I have some ginger cookies that are super easy but taste like heaven. They aren’t baked hard like ginger snap cookies, but soft and yummy. Everyone loves them and we can’t make them enough. If you want the recipe, send me an e-mail and I’ll type it up when I get home (we have it on a much loved sheet in our cabinet)

    Good luck!
