The Day After

Filed under: Interstellar Casa,It's Me, Lass — by InterstellarLass @ 8:58 am

I heard on the news that some guy is lobbying to have the Superbowl declared a national holiday and the Monday after be a ‘day off’. I kind of like that idea. For a few brief moments last night I was really worried for the Colts, but they turned it around and won. You know, just in case you didn’t already know that. ‘Cause maybe you were under a rock or something. 🙂

It’s Monday night. It’s Heroes night. Tonight we meet the Cheerleader’s dad! And last week they set up Sylar to escape. Catch up on episodes if you’re behind!

If I could just pick up my house and rip out all my plumbing and make it all new and right I totally would. And then I wouldn’t be waiting on Mr. Roto Rooter.

And is it just cold everywhere? It seems like it. I was watching the Today show this morning. A guy was reporting from Chicago where it’s -9F. Back in the summer he was reporting on a day when it was 100F. That’s quite a range. Stay warm no matter where you are!

  1. Milwaukee is off of school today because it’s -35 degrees out with the windchill. Not exactly a national holiday, but we’ll take it.

  2. Hey! It’s warmer over in my part of the country. Woo hoo! It’s going to be mid 40’s today. I’m very excited. I’m going to wait to watch Hereos when it comes out on DVD. I’ve already missed too much!

  3. We didn’t really watch the Superbowl. I think we might be the only ones.

    Can’t wait for Heroes!

  4. I’ll go for that national holiday thing! I’m game for a day off work anytime! Yep, it’s down right freezing here. When Brian started his car this a.m. it was 4 degrees. And it’s very windy so I’m sure the real temp is well below zero. It’s ugly! I’m just going to stay inside and work on homework. I think I’m having a plumbing issue which will result in me having to call a plumber. Hate it!

  5. I think we should start an internet movement to back that guy up! LOL

  6. Lots of schools here are closed — well below zero with the wind factored in… It actually hurts to inhale out there!

Good luck with the plumbing… that’s my least favorite of the home-owner headaches!

  7. The whole country was warm this winter while I’ve been shivering. It’s finally our turn, baby!
60 yesterday and today we are supposed to break the record for the date.
And my heating bill won’t make me piss my pants when I see it, like last month!

  8. I’d vote for it. Any day when the banks are closed and my checks don’t bounce seems like a good thing to me…

  9. Cold as hell here in the NE.
    God, I long for summer.
I’m not talking about the Superbowl except to say that Chicago (and Grossman) sucked the house out.
    They deserved to lose.
