Not Running on All Cylinders

Filed under: It's Me, Lass — by InterstellarLass @ 8:22 am

Not yet anyway. One lan cable and a couple of virus scans later, and Nick’s laptop is back in order. Zed’s will require bypass surgery, pending receipt of a cable via UPS. It was bad ya’ll. I hope you never have to go through dt’s like I did.

I found my SS card this morning. Miracle of all miracles it was in the first place I looked. I’m all bright and shiny and ready to set up my new desk. Well, shiny minus my wedding ring. I mean, I still have the important part…the band. The big sparkly part though is gone…for 8 to 12 weeks. I noticed a chip in my main stone, right next to one of the prongs. I took it to the jeweler, and it’s taking a little trip back to the manufacturer. Evidently it’s a specialty cut. Sniff, sniff. Talk about withdrawls. I’m going nutty feeling my finger and not having it there!

I missed ya’ll! And I did get some knitting done. Except fingering weight yarn on size 2 needles doesn’t get anywhere quick. And, there was major savings happening at Kroger and Target this weekend. $194 in total product purchased, with $47 in savings, resulting in actual expenditures of $147. Go me! Those loyalty coupons were used well!

I’ll try to at least swing by and say hi tonight. Hope to be back in the full swing of things soon.

  4. You just gave me a giant heart attack. I thought you were going to say you LOST your big, fat, sparkly diamond. I was going to do some throwing up for you. Glad you saw the crack before you lost the stone. My mom lost the stone in her ring. It wasn’t a huge stone but still. Glad you’re back!

  5. I’m not sure I could find my SS card if my life depended on it. Maybe it’s time to start a little blog knitting circle? You could definitely be the leader. Any one who does fingering weight on #2 needles deserves to be leader. 🙂
