1-1

Filed under: Elle & Zed,It's Me, Lass — by InterstellarLass @ 11:47 pm

Zed’s team went 1-1 in the playoffs. Thursday night’s game was a sad 24-22 loss. It was kind of an ugly game at the end, played by the other team, and left one of our boys in tears. Which brings out the mama bear in me. If I didn’t have to ‘set a good example’ I might have said a thing or two to the other team’s coach. Tonight we fared a little better, 24-18. Still, in a single elimination tournament, win two only feels good. Spring season starts in two weeks. Gives me time to rest my cheering voice.

And, for a little more fun, I did my Visual DNA. WP doesn’t like embed scripting though. Just hyperlinks for me. Happy weekend. I hope to make it around to see you all!

Update!: Somehow we made it into the finals! Some weird combination of regular season record ranking, points scored and points allowed and we’re in, ranked 2nd in our division. We play two games tonight, win or lose. Zed was excited and has been working on his free throws this afternoon. Wish him luck!

Update 2: Basketball Finals Game 1 was won by default. The other team didn’t show for gametime, so we automatically won and advanced to the winners round. Game 2 was tough. Our coach wasn’t able to be there, so Nick and another dad had to step in. We played hard, held them scoreless the first quarter, but had a few bad breaks and ended with a loss. 2nd in the division ain’t bad for a group of boys that hadn’t met and had tape-number uniforms for the first 3 games of the season.
