Hum Drum Ho Hum

Filed under: Family & Friends,It's Me, Lass — by InterstellarLass @ 8:33 pm

With basketball over, there aren’t any sports scheduled for another two weeks. And then, the kids will be on vacation with their dad, so it will be three weeks before another game. Nothing has really kicked off at work yet…so I’m just hanging out and watching Heroes.

Over the weekend, in addition to all the basketball excitement, Nick took me shopping. It’d been a while since I’ve bought any new clothes, and he’s really good at picking things out for me. And carrying things until I’m ready to try them on. And I did find some very cute outfits. And had to stand in a really, really long line. Because the computer systems were down. I promise we stood in line over 30 minutes to check out. That part sucked.

Yesterday we also went to check out my eventual new offices. The supposed move date was April. After seeing the building, I’m pretty sure it’s not going to be April. We also saw a couple of open house signs. Stopped to take a look at one, and it was very nice. Quite a bit out of our budget range for now, but it was kind of fun to look through!

Anything exciting going on for you? Come on…there has to be something exciting…

  1. i haven’t watched that heroes show, but i know several friends that say it’s the best thing they’ve seen in a long time.
not much happening here, the most exciting thing today was that it didn’t snow and the snowbanks started to melt. we’ve got over a foot on the ground right now, any little meltdown makes my day!

  2. Oh, how I love Heroes. We didn’t get to watch last night, though. It’s on DVR, so we’ll watch tonight.

Hmmm… exciting stuff? Well, just the same old restaurant crap sucking the life out of us, but in a good way. Maybe.

  4. I’m tearing up my front and back yards, if that’s of any interest.

Oh, and I won the lottery. And met Keanu Reeves. Sort of.

  9. Can you believe Heroes is off again for another 6 weeks. What is up with that? I was so pissed off! I hate it when they tease you with t.v. shows.

Nothing exciting on my end – except my car officially died today. The funeral was short and there were only two mourners, me and the mechanic. Hopefully I can get a new one this weekend but who knows. Wish me luck.

  13. He likes to shop?

Not much here. Indoor track started. Himself was third in high jump Monday. I hate track meets: BORING! Except, for the three minutes my kids runs or jumps!

Thats it. Freezing here: 10 below this morning.

  14. I don’t have anything! But I’ve been shopping a lot lately as well. However, I keep the boyfriend at home. He does not like to shop with me. I take too long.

  15. Does any construction–road, building, or otherwise– ever get done early? Or even on time?

  16. Did you buy new underwear too? Cuz new outfits deserve new undies. Or, at least, clean ones 😛
